Most people find that the Australian riding position is also more comfortable for the rider.With the riders feet forward of the hips there is better weight distribution,resulting in less stress on the knees.And the 2 ½ inch leathers make it easy to turn the stirrups in the correct position.
Quality Australian saddles are made of bark-tanned or vegetable tanned leather.Oil is then worked into the leather during the tanning, leaving the leather more soft and supple.Saddle trees are commonly made of wood and steel,fiberglass,or polyurethane.The wood and steel is what provides and excellent ride because of it's suspended seat system.The rider is seated on the webbing that is suspended over the tree,not on the tree itself.
This system is found in the Kimberley and Down Under series.On the other hand,the polyurethane trees provide a supreme durability and construction consistency which can be found in the saddles made by Syd Hill & Sons.
I insure a good fit for both you and the horse all we need to give to our supplier is your height,weight,pant size and the breed of your horse along with a wither tracing that can be done using a metal coat hanger.Pacing a metal coat hanger over the horse and shaping it to the saddle position on the horse then tracing the curb onto paper can better help in fitting your horse comfortably.
To have a maximum riding expereicne for both rider and horse depends on the saddle and it's fit.Remember that bargan brand saddles may cost less but are made to fit a standard size horse.Like we are all different in size and make so are the horses we ride.Not one is made alike.You can pick up your order or have it shipped to you at an additional cost that can be arrange by contacting us.
